In all areas of life, we need to take learn new skills, practice and master them in order to be top performers. The thing is... as parents, we may assume we innately have the skills to parent our children effectively. In this presentation, Kirsten will talk about using a kaizen mindset to learn the skills we need to learn in order to be the parents our children need us to be. She will share some seminal lessons she learned through sport and how she incorporates them into how she parents her children.

Kirsten Manley Casimir PhD

Kirsten has her PhD in law and is currently working as a lawyer. She is a former professional indoor volleyball player and competed internationally for Canada in beach volleyball. She has coached indoor volleyball at the high school, provincial team, and university level. Kirsten is a parent to two children and reads about, tests and shares parenting strategies that work through the website she runs with her two high performing sisters. She often shares how the skills she learned as a high performance athlete have helped her be to be the parent her children need her to be.
